We're excited to welcome an all-new product line to the ExactRail family of quality products - the Signature Series. This series of fine products has been developed to introduce precision, scale replica models of specialty, limited prototype production replicas of railway equipment.

In 1974, Southern took delivery of 70 ton, 5277 cubic foot box cars from Pullman-Standard. Different from other cars of the IPD era, the Southern cars had a full set of "waffles"--stamped impressions into the car's side panels intended to accommodate lading equipment. Beginning with PS lot 9725, Southern Railway would eventually roster nearly 5,000 of these box cars. Found anywhere, the Southern PS 50' Waffle box car is the epitome of a signature classic!

Designed, engineered and tooled in the United States, Signature Series products are developed with the same attention to prototype accuracy and scale replica precision as each ExactRail product. Signature Series feature points are the same as Platinum Series including; ExactRail's precision equalized trucks complete with CNC-machined metal wheel sets, complete underbody detailing, seperate air hoses, wire-formed coupler cut-levers, wire formed grab irons, wire formed brake rigging and etched metal parts as prototypically appropriate. Furthermore, all Signature and Platinum Series products are now factory equipped with Kadee (R) #58 scale metal couplers.
