DCC Installation Terms:

1] When sending in your locomotives to us we recommend that you use a service that you can add insurance to such as USPS Priority or UPS. We are not responsible for any loss or damage of a package on the way to us.

2] We will inspect and test all locomotives before any work is started. If we find that the locomotive is unsuitable for installation we will contact you with a reason as soon as possible. Reasons that we might not be able to complete an installation are as follows:

a. Locomotive is in poor running condition. We do not perform any locomotive rehab services at this time.
b. Motor Stall current exceeds decoder ratings. Most decoders have a max load rating of 2 amps.
c. No Room... Sometimes there is just not enough room.

3] Turnaround time on installations can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. This will depend on many factors. We have many decoders on hand, however we may have to wait until we get one from a supplier. If we have workload that will prohibit us from getting your work done in a timely manner we will let you know as soon as possible.

4] Sound Decoders - With our sound installations we will make every attempt to make the sound as good as it can be. Even though we can make a speaker fit into a locomotive, we cannot promise that it will sound as loud as expected. Speakers require a certain air volume to work properly.

5] Couplers - If couplers need to be removed for us to remove the shell we ask that you remove them before sending your locomotives into us. We do not have spares on hand and cannot replace coupler parts such as springs that may be easily lost.

6] DCC System compatibility - Please let us know if you are using a DCC system such as the Bachmann EZ Command that only allows addressing from 1-10 or 2 digit only addressing.
